Government and cities

Safe and smart city

A single platform brings fixed, mobile and cloud cameras, analytics and related systems into a situation center that shows a picture of events, not a stream of video.

Challenges we address

  • Agency systems work in isolation, and data does not add up to a common picture.
  • Dependence on one supplier's closed solutions.
  • Growing numbers of cameras and streams require a new architecture.
  • Without analytics, large volumes of video turn into noise.

Use cases

Situation center

A single map of sources, events and incidents, archive search, alerts, reports and an interactive map of violations. A single view of events for decision-making.

Video surveillance quality monitoring

The system automatically finds cameras with dirt, defocus, obstruction, a shifted scene or wrong time, so that the archive is usable as evidence. The same monitoring makes it possible to check the work of contractors who maintain the cameras.

Public amenities and municipal services

Overflowing bins and containers, piles of waste, proof of collection, graffiti, damaged surfaces, snow clearing.

Environment

Fire, smoke, dust and ash in urban areas and green belts, illegal dumps from drone imagery.

Roads

Potholes, cracks, worn markings, damaged signs and curbs, including from mobile units on vehicles.

Construction and illegal buildings

Comparison with the plan, detection of unauthorized construction.

Security and transport

License plate recognition, automated entry and routing, inspection, early fire detection. Dangerous situations at venues and events: fights, abandoned objects, crowds.

Mobile sources

Streams from phones and body-worn cameras, mobile units.

Result

  • One manageable picture instead of a set of systems.
  • Objective records of violations and contractor work.
  • Fast response.
  • The system evolves without downtime and without supplier lock-in.

Delivery

A turnkey platform or a service model through a telecom operator. Phased launch – starting with a pilot in one district or area. Operator training and operating procedures for the customer are part of the project.

Platform

One platform instead of a patchwork of systems

MU Platform brings video surveillance, video analytics, biometrics, access control, transport, mobile sources and IoT together in a single monitoring and management environment. The platform is vendor-independent: it connects equipment and analytics from different suppliers through a single API, scales with your infrastructure and runs wherever you need it – on your servers, in the cloud or in a hybrid setup.

  • Vendor independence
  • Modularity – add functions without replacing infrastructure
  • A single view of events for decision-making

Case studies

    • Safe and smart city
    • On-board computer vision

    City: mobile street monitoring

A unit on a service vehicle analyzes video on board and sends map-referenced events to a portal within the customer's perimeter.

How we work

  1. Defining the task

We analyze the customer's process and define scenarios and control points.

  2. Pilot

We run the scenario on real data and existing infrastructure.

  3. Full-scale operation

We scale the solution and connect related systems.

  4. Development and support

We update modules, add scenarios and provide ongoing support.

Engagement models: turnkey project, module licensing, subscription, service model.
