Equipment
Condition of moving conveyor belts: belt surface and splice defects, belt misalignment, the defect's position along the belt. Thermal imaging monitoring of equipment overheating.
Platform
Machine vision turns an industrial process into data: equipment condition, materials on the line and people's safety – on the company's infrastructure and connected to process control systems.
The industrial module is the part of MU Platform built for industrial processes. It uses the platform's shared mechanisms – video quality monitoring, the incident cycle, “human in the loop” – and adds industrial detectors and integration with control systems.
Condition of moving conveyor belts: belt surface and splice defects, belt misalignment, the defect's position along the belt. Thermal imaging monitoring of equipment overheating.
Fragmentation and oversize on the conveyor, bulk material volume from video and lidar, truck load completeness, flotation froth, AI core logging.
PPE by role and area, hazardous areas with several criticality levels, staff behavior, fire, smoke and steam. Night shifts are monitored on a par with day shifts.
Where a standard camera is not enough, the module uses industrial cameras and laser profile scanners; where it is enough, the module works on existing cameras. The system operates reliably under vibration and dust.
Models are fine-tuned on data from the specific site. Missing detectors are developed for the company's task.
The module is deployed within the company's perimeter, including isolated networks. Events are sent to process control systems and SCADA via PLC over OPC UA and Modbus TCP, and to enterprise systems via REST API and ERP.
In a critical event – for example, belt damage – the module sends a stop signal to the control system. Decisions on further action remain with the responsible person.
Reports show zones of recurring defects and trends. This is the basis for moving from scheduled inspections to maintenance based on the actual condition of equipment.
Case studies
Cameras and laser scanners above the belt detect surface and splice defects and pinpoint them on the belt. The belt is monitored continuously, with no stoppages for inspection.
Analytics on existing cameras recognizes PPE, hazardous areas and behavior; night shifts are monitored on a par with day shifts.
Photos of core boxes referenced to depth, identification of rock types, fractures and ore intervals; a geologist checks the results.
How we work
We analyze the customer's process and define scenarios and control points.
We run the scenario on real data and existing infrastructure.
We scale the solution and connect related systems.
We update modules, add scenarios and provide ongoing support.
Engagement models: turnkey project, module licensing, subscription, service model.
